Commission Work Shibuya Seiki Co., Ltd.
OVERVIEW
An art commission project for the new factory headquarters of Shibuya Seiki, following the headquarters’ relocation within Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. In order to symbolize the company’s pioneering initiatives, curation was based on the corporate philosophy “Creating Together,” while embracing four factors in food production, which is a fundamental human need: water, trees (forest), agriculture, and technology. Six pieces by three artists were selected. Noetica managed all phases of the project, including planning, curation, artwork production, and installation supervision.
