Project Management Tainan Art Museum “Skin and Viscera: Self, World, and Time”
OVERVIEW
Go for Kogei, in cooperation with the Tainan Art Museum, co-organized the Skin and Viscera: Self, World, and Time exhibition. Yuji Akimoto, Go for Kogei artistic director, was invited to join the curation team. Drawing on critical theories and ideas in contemporary art, the exhibition featured 10 new-generation female artists from Japan, who carry forward an innovative artistic spirit from Yayoi Kusama and other like-minded artists. Using the protagonist’s journey after defeating the Demon King depicted in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End as a metaphor, the exhibition narrated an attempt of self-reflection after the end of the epic story, and of rebuilding relationships with others and the world to come. The exhibition received a great response in Taiwan, and Akimoto was selected as the best curator of 2025 by the art magazine Asian Art News. Noetica was responsible for planning and communicating with the museum, curation, coordination, and production supervision.
