OVERVIEW

Kutani ware is a traditional pottery from Ishikawa Prefecture. The KUTANism project was jointly launched by its production region (Komatsu and Nomi Cities) with the aim of gaining international publicity and establishing a local brand in anticipation of the Shinkansen extension in 2023. The 2023 edition was the final year of the five-year plan, and featured a multi-venue exhibition and studio tours under the theme of “Tracing the Colors of Kutani.” Participants collected stickers from each event site to place in their guidebooks. The number of visitors marked a record high for the past five years, and the event received high praise. Noetica comprehensively worked on the project from planning to coordination, production, curation, and public relations.
